Herbert V. Feek Jr.

Herbert Van Feek Jr, 73, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away on September 20, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison, Kansas, with Pastor Stephen Lucas officiating the service. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm, the day of the service, at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas. Herbert was born on June 12, 1952, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Herbert Feek Sr and Lou Edna (Hunter) Davis. He married Dianna Kay Monshower on June 30, 1972, in Atchison, Kansas, and she preceded him in death on April 19, 2023, after fifty years of marriage. He served in the United States Army for four years, following the army, he was employed as a United States Postal Worker for thirty years until his retirement. He enjoyed gun collecting, fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles.

Herbert is survived by his son; Harley Feek (Christina Benitz) Atchison, KS; daughters, Heidi (Brian) Busenbarrick, Atchison, KS, April (Lonnie) Buesing, Brookfield, MO, Linda (Zach) Benitz, Doniphan, KS; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Marvin Feek, Robert Feek, sisters; Sandy Faudere, Dorothy (Melvin) Lanning, Angie (Jim) Kessinger, and Theresa May.

He is preceded by his parents, wife, son, Russell Van Feek, brother-in-law, Harold Faudere, and sister-in-law, Tracie Feek.
