Kevin & Debbie Halash
May 11, 2022
I seem to recall my first encounter with Herb Meyer as being introduced to him by I believe John Williams at St. Pats Parish festival. I already knew his brother Bing (Laverne) & wife Marie as their daughters had babysat my girls. As time went on I was acquainted with the whole Meyer family because I was a plumber & remodeling contractor & did work for most of their family.
I have to say that it was a pleasure serving the Meyer family. All of Herbs siblings were gracious & loving people. I must confess though a certain affection for Herb. He was always upbeat with a smile & I welcomed his sense of humor & he always had something good to say. I know he had his physical problems but you would not know it by the way he carried himself. I have to acknowledge that he gave witness to God the way he carried himself & the example he set for others was inspirational. I know I will miss him. I'm just sorry that I didn't get to see him recently as I heard about his latest medical condition. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend his services as I'm recovering from Covid. But I'll always remember Herb when I attend High School sporting events as I know it was one of his passions. Debbie will sing in choir at his Funeral Mass. Goodbye old friend.
