Mr. Herbert W. Peeples, age 82 of Pearson, Ga. passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at his home following an extended illness.
Mr. Peeples was born November 26, l941 in Jacksonville, Fl. to the late George Wilson Peeples and Alma Mae Simmons Formby. He had made his home in Pearson, Ga. for the past 31 years and worked as a carpenter and truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and watching westerns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Herbert Formby, sister, Joyce Stelter and daughter-in-law, Tabitha Peeples.
Survivors include:
Wife: Miriam Ann Loyd Peeples of Pearson, Ga.
3 Sons: Brad Peeples and wife Marenna of Pearson, Ga.
Bill Peeples and wife Melinda of Manor, Ga.
Bert Peeples and wife Tammie of Callahan, Fl
Daughter: Melanie P. Gurley and husband Darona of Pearson, Ga.
Sister: Linda Jena Glisson of Jacksonville, Fl.
17 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews and other relatives also survive.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Peeples were held Thursday at 11:00 A. M., October 17, 2024, at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Edward Mathers and Brother Steve Sirmans officiating. Special music included “Lead Me Home” and “Jesus and John Wayne” rendered by cd. The interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were Cody Peeples, Lee Peeples, Bryan Burch, Randall Jones, Mike Green and Russell Hurlbert.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
