Herbert C. "Herb" Price Jr.

Herbert C. "Herb" Price, Jr., of Mattapan, passed away on October 17, 2025, just days before his 77th birthday.
Born on October 28, 1948, Herb grew up in Holbrook, Massachusetts, and was a proud graduate of Holbrook High School, Class of 1966. He went on to attend Boston University before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1968. During his service, Herb was stationed in Japan, where he worked as a medic, and later in San Diego, California.
Following his military service, Herb dedicated many years to the Boston VA Medical Center, continuing his lifelong commitment to helping others. Herb had a creative spirit and a love of the arts. He was an avid guitarist and enjoyed photography and videography, passions that allowed him to capture and share the world through his own unique lens.
He was predeceased by his father, Herbert C. Price, Sr.; his mother, Jennie A. (Price) Brackett; and his grandparents, Edward and Olive Jensen.
He is survived by his cousins, Ralph A. Jensen, Jr. of Avon; Karen M. (Jensen) Welsh of Plymouth; Stephen E. Jensen of Avon; and Dianne M. (Jensen) Meek of Bridgewater.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
