Herbert Hoover Terry

Herbert Hoover Terry, 95, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 6, 1929, at Harrison, to Braz and Hattie Ramsey Terry. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a lifetime member of Grubb Springs Baptist Church. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union and worked as a truck driver for Garrison Motor Freight until his retirement in 1989.
Herbert had a deep love for the land and spent much of his time farming cattle. He also had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed riding any chance he got. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, whom he loved dearly. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for the open road, and his unwavering devotion to his faith and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Joyce Smith Terry; one brother, Cecil Terry; and two sisters, Molly Mae Waits and Josephine Terry Cash.
Survivors include two sons, Herbert (Kathy) Hoover Terry Jr., of Harrison, and Joe (Patty) Terry, of Harrison; one daughter, Elva Estelle Terry Yarbrough, of Harrison; seven grandchildren, Heather DeHart, Lacy Yarbrough, Yancey Terry, Neely Richardson, Tabatha Terry, Amanda Terry, and Sara Terry; ten great-grandchildren, Mallori DeHart, Hayden DeHart, Olivia Yarbrough, Dasten Terry, Benn Mann, Carly Richardson, Trey Richardson, Ashor Terry-Treml, Drake Terry-Treml, and Tinsley Hall; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Grubb Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Beach officiating. Burial will be in Grubb Springs Cemetery under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Yancey and Joe Terry, Benn Mann, Ashor and Drake Terry-Treml, Johnathan Melbourne, and Hayden DeHart.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2nd, at the funeral home.
