Herman William Burns, age 81 of Ironton, passed away at his home on March 26, 2026.
He was born on August 3, 1944 in Morris, MN to Merle and DeMaris (Sachs) Burns Sr.
Herman was the former owner of CM Automotive and Tire in Ironton and the Ironton Convenience Store. He also was a retired over the road trucker. He was a member of the Ossipee Community Church and the Northern Tin Street Rod Association. Herman loved working on automobiles, flying airplanes and motorcycling.
Herman is survived by his son, Michael (Jenny) Burns of Nisswa; his daughter, Michelle (Skip) Clark of Big Lake; and five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Preceding Herman in death are his parents and one brother, Merle Burns Jr.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Myrin-James American Legion Post in Ironton from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Devotion and Sharing of Memories will be at 3:00 p.m. A private family burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
