Robert “Robbie” Callisto, age 77 of Deerwood, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026 at his home. He was born on April 6, 1948 to Mary and John “Chic” Callisto at the Miner’s Hospital in Crosby.
He attended the Ironton Grade School and graduated for the Crosby-Ironton High School in 1966. He furthered his education at Staples Vo Tech, specializing in Tool and Dye. His career spanned across several areas of interest and locations from Deluxe Check Printing to Scorpion Snowmobiles in Crosby (“The best job I ever had!) to FMC Northern Ordinance Naval Division in Fridley to Trus Joist-MacMillan/ Weyerhaeuser in Brainerd. His attention to detail not only played out through his career but also the meticulous manicured vehicles that he owned and drove.
Robbie married Jean Coil in June of 1988. Together they shared the love of watching/attending sporting events, trips to Laughlin, NV, evening drives that ended in a dish of ice cream and a bike ride on the Cuyuna Lakes Bike Trial.
Robbie valued family relationships, as well as his strong devotion to his friends. He will be remembered for his compassion and advocacy for the elderly as those who know him, remember his devotion to his mother and his grandpa Angelo Callisto.
Robbie is survived by his wife, Jean; his brother, Don “DuDu” Callisto and family, his sisters, Donna Kayfes and family and Carrie (Tom) Milberry and family; nephew Mike (Michelle) Luehring and family and many cousins.
