On June 21, 2024, the heavens opened their gates to welcome home a beloved soul, Herman Jackson, Jr. A man of honor and service, Herman was born on October 21, 1957, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to his loving parents, Herman Jackson, Sr. and Survanner Jackson.

Growing up in Berwyn now known as Gene Autry, Oklahoma, Herman's journey through life was marked by dedication and resilience. He embarked on his educational path at Gene Autry Elementary and later graduated from Springer High School in 1976. An adventurer at heart, Herman bravely joined the United States Army in 1982 as a Private First Class. Throughout his military service, he displayed unwavering commitment and received numerous accolades before being honorably discharged in 1985 and again in 1988. In pursuit of continued service, Herman reenlisted in the National Guard Reserves in 1990 and served with distinction until his honorable discharge in 1995.

Amidst his noble endeavors, Herman found love and joy with the former Amelia Williams. Their union on May 4, 1991, at Corinth Baptist Church was a testament to their deep bond and shared values. Together they embraced parenthood warmly; raising their son Brenton (Scotty) Williams and celebrating the arrival of their daughter Namreh Jackson.

Beyond his professional and familial responsibilities, Herman found solace and passion in various hobbies that enriched his life. An avid collector of cookbooks and DVDs, a fervent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and OU Sooners, and an enthusiast of travel – Herman lived life with zest and enthusiasm. His desire to soar among the clouds reflected his dream of becoming a pilot—a dream that resonated deeply within him as he concluded his career journey with CarMart as a dedicated driver.

As we bid farewell to Herman Jackson, Jr., we hold dear the memories of a kind-hearted soul who touched numerous lives with his warmth and generosity. Preceded in death by his dear grandmother Isabel Alexander and his parents Survanner & Herman Jackson Sr., Junior leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever endure.

His loving spirit lives on through his devoted wife Amelia Jackson; stepson Scotty Williams of Ardmore; daughter Namreh Jackson residing in Tennessee; sister Survanner Maytubby; brother Ron Jackson both from Ardmore; five cherished grandchildren; a multitude of nieces, nephews; his Corinth Baptist Church Family; along with countless relatives and friends who were fortunate enough to have been embraced by his kindness.

In each smile shared and every memory treasured, Herman's presence will continue to resonate—a beacon of light guiding those who were touched by his grace through the depths of loss towards the undying warmth of remembrance.
