Herman “Skeeter” W. Griggs, 74, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on November 12, 2025, in Salem, Arkansas.
He was born in Galveston, Texas, on October 1, 1951, son of the late Howard Wallace and Betty Jean (Brooks) Griggs. Skeeter served our country in the United States Marines during Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Roberta “Robbie” Boyd on December 27, 1980, in Galveston, Texas. He was owner and operator of Able Movers in Horseshoe Bend for many years. Skeeter enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Skeeter is survived by his wife, Robbie Griggs of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; son, Jason (Jonese) Wright of Kerrville, Texas; daughter, Stacey (Donnie) Keener of Montgomery, Texas; brother, John (LaNelle) Stumpf of Texas; sister, Janet Kamar of Galveston, Texas and grandchildren, Jacie and Jalen Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; grandparents; cousins and other family members.
