Michael Kirkhart

Michael Allen Kirkhart, 67, of Horseshoe Bend, departed this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Salem. He was born in Akron, Ohio, on November 5, 1958, to Willard Lloyd Kirkhart and Patricia Ann Kirkhart.

Michael served our country in the United States Navy in active and reserve service. He later spent his working years in the construction business, mainly at Truss Manufacturing, which he was very good at. He loved music and his favorite band was AC/DC. Michael was a very honest person and loved working on old cars and watching sports, especially Nascar.

He was united in marriage to the late Sherrie Kirkhart on November 15, 1983, in San Bernardino, California, and enjoyed thirty-seven years of marriage before her death in 2020.

Michael is survived by his stepson, Jason Robertson (best friend, Laura Sherrell) of Oxford, two brothers, Scott Kirkhart of Ohio, Kevin Kirkhart of North Carolina, one sister, Kris Kirkhart of North Carolina, grandchildren, Alton Robertson and Eboni Rodabaugh. He is also survived by his caretaker, Tina Greer and very dear family friend, Jake Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sherrie, his parents and grandson, Payton Robertson Sherrell.

Memorial services will be Friday, March 13, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
