I do express my deepest, deepest, condolences to the family. I know this hard for anybody to bear. I have known of Hermie for a long time. He always treated me with love, kindness and respect. My condolences to the Vaughn family. I worked with Hermon at New Venture Gear. I was a young man at the time, and I needed guidance. Hermon and myself would often have enlightening conversations. So many of those conversations have stuck with me, and help me grow as a man... I'm gonna miss u BIG BRO!!

As Union brothers and brothers in the Lord, Herm and I enjoyed many great conversations together. We used to say of each other: As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17). During our conversations, we would encourage each other about some of the things that were happening in the world. But also reminded each other of the One in Whom we place our hope for salvation: Jesus Christ. Because our faith is in the One True Savior of the world, I look forward to seeing my good brother again one day in heaven.

To my very dearest friend Herman Vaughan's wife, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. It's been a great honor to have been very close friends with Herman aka Hermie for over 55 plus years. He was someone that would go the extra mile to make you feel respected and accepted in our community growing-up. I would walk over to his house, almost daily, over on Fage Ave., just to see him and laugh out loud. He never said anything harsh about anyone. Hermie would come outside on his porch and greet me with that Big Smile and then say " What's up Barn!" let's go over to Kirk Park or Tom Neal's house to see Tom . He always stayed humbled and talked s lot about the Bible. So, this is my message to those who will truly miss my friend. Hermie, Love You, My Brother and may you rest in peace.
