Joan,
Kathy and I are so very sorry for your loss of Hermann. I have fond memories of seeing you and Hermann playing Tennis at Westside Tennis Club, sometimes next to me and whomever I was playing with. Kathy also remembers the fun times she had playing with you and some of the gals at WSTC. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Joan,
Monique and I will always remember that Hermann and you were the first ones to welcome us to Houston and it was "friendship" at first sight! We will always remember Hermann as a fine, warm-hearted friend and a true gentleman. May God Bless you.

Joan, I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Hermann when he interviewed and subsequently hired me to work for Berg Pipe. He was a great person to know and work for. I still remember the phone conversations he had with Ziggy in Panama City. I considered Hermann a friend. It was a pleasure to know him. I know he will be missed.
Sincerely,
Doug Parrish

Dearest Joan and family,
I am so saddened to hear Hermann living this earth to join our Lord and the angels. I remember him so well laughing so much and speaking Swiss Dutch with my late husband George. Hermann had so much humor, class, kindness, care. He was truly a gentleman. Please accept my sincere and deep condolences on your loss.

Sophie and I knew Herman, both socially and in business over many decades and offer our sincere condolences to Joan and the family. Herman was one of the nicest people you could ever meet, always with a quiet and humble demeanor that always made you feel at ease. I will never forget the first time I met him at Brown and Root. He will be sadly missed by all in the pipeline industry in Houston and abroad. God Bless, Jeremy and Sophie Price. Houston, Texas

Dearest Joan, my deepest sympathy to you and Hermann's family. My heart hurts for you. Your best friend and companion has gone on before you, just like mine. May our Lord give you rest and comfort. May your work and traveling with your kind and gentle, but passionate husband bring you many wonderful memories. I will not be there to say a proper goodbye and give you a sweet hug as I am recuperating from a heart attack. May God bless and keep you.

As another said, class and composure was indeed Hermann. We met when Hermann represented Italsider on the Northern Border Pipeline project and those traits came in very handy more than once. Really enjoyed the kickoff trip to Italy when I had the opportunity to hear him carry on conversations in English, French, and Italian at the same time. The kind of man all should count as a friend.
