Hermenia P. Castilleja

Hermenia P. Castilleja was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 25, 1931, to Jose and Josefina Palafos, and went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2025, at the age of 94. Hermenia was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great-grandmother. In her past time, she took care of her plants, she enjoyed all color roses and looked after her little dogs Lulu and Chico. Hermenia dearly loved her family and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. We wear her favorite color pink in her honor. Until we meet again. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Emilio D. Castilleja, children Johnny Castilleja, Beatrice Zuniga, and Jose Angel Castilleja and 3 siblings. Survivors include 2 out of 5 loving children, Mary C. Saldivar and Ernest J. Castilleja and his wife Irma O., siblings Tina Diaz, Yolanda Rivas, and Isabel Mendoza, 28 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 28 great great-grandchildren, and other family members and friends. Visitation will begin on Tuesday September 9, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Brookehill Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with a procession from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
