Hermila Rodriguez Aguirre, lovingly known as Hermis or Camila, passed away peacefully at her home in Yuma, Arizona, surrounded by her family, on October 21st, 2025, at the age of 79.
Born in Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico, and raised in La Lomita, Hermila's journey was one of courage, devotion, and love. She immigrated to Stockton, California in pursuit of the American dream and, through hard work and perseverance, built a beautiful life that eventually led her to settle in Yuma, Arizona.
Hermila was the heart and foundation of her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Manuel Rodriguez Gonzalez, her seven loving children, sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nine siblings, and countless nephews and nieces who all adored her deeply.
She devoted her life wholeheartedly to her home and family. Her faith guided her, her laughter filled every room, and her love knew no limits. Hermila will be remembered for her humble spirit, her silly sense of humor, her unwavering strength, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to all around her.
A viewing service to honor Hermila's life will be held on Friday, October 24th, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Desert Valley Mortuary in Somerton, Arizona.
Though she is no longer with us, Hermila's love and warmth will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.
