Herod Clarett

Herod Clarett, 84, of Erie, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, April 7,2024.
He was born in Houston, MS on October 23,1939, son of the late Lock Clarett and Junetta Gladney Clarett.
Herod was educated in the Erie School District graduating from Academy High School. Upon graduation, he pursued his career in the machinery field for various Erie manufacturing plants.
Herod was an advid fisherman and hunter, he would travel yearly with his brothers to Rochester, NY for squirrel hunting. He loved working on cars, traveling back down to
Memphis, TN and Mississippi and having many conversations with his family and friends, more importantly he was a family man.
Herod was preceded in death by both parents, Lock Clarett and Junetta Clarett sisters Clarice Davidson, Flessie Carter and Faynell Moore. Brothers Carl Clarett and most recently Evans Clariett Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories siblings Barbara (McLoyd) Knight of Compton, CA Shirley Clarett-Pace of Erie, PA and Joe (Lucille) Clarett of Rochester, NY. 1 special nephew "That Boy" Xavier Graham and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Herod was very well known around Erie and his presence will truly be missed by all his family and friends.
A public viewing will be held House of Paradise Cremation and Funeral Services Inc. 701 East Avenue Erie, PA 16503 on Thursday, April 18,2024 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of his celebration of life Service at 12:00 p.m. with presiding Bishop C. Roberts, Eulogizing. Interment will be private.
