HERVEY WEIFORD Obituary

Hervey Paul Weiford went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 21, 2023. Hervey was born in Huntington, on Sept. 8, 1934, and graduated from Huntington High School in 1953. Herv retired from the Triad/Utrad company as an electronics draftsman. He was devoted to his church, friends, and family, and especially to his wife of 52+ years, Barbara Bentley Weiford, who passed unexpectedly on March 3, 2023.

Hervey enjoyed vacationing with friends and family and was always available for a game of cards, dominoes, jigsaw puzzles, and board games with the family. Herv was also dedicated to honing his skills and gamesmanship in both golf and bowling, for which he received many trophies and recognition from his peers.

Hervey is survived by his daughter Kelley Ahlersmeyer (Nick) and grandson Elliott Ahlersmeyer, Ft. Wayne; daughter Danica Winter (Pete), Tallahassee, FL; and daughter Deborah Raynes, Tacoma, WA.

There will be a celebration of life service at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 2305 Goshen Road, Ft. Wayne, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29. An hour of visitation with the family will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the service. A private interment will be performed at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the Humane Ft. Wayne animal shelter.
