It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hilario Henry Garcia, who departed this life peacefully on May 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Henry was born on January 30, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a beloved son, sibling, devoted father, Navy Veteran and friend. His infectious smile and vibrant spirit will leave an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Henry lived his life rich in love, laughter, fun and purpose. He loved entertainment, politics, sports, community involvement, gaming, and traveling. More than anything, he cherished time spent with family and friends. He had an adventurous spirit, generous heart and was loved by all who knew him. He frequently enjoyed sharing stories and words of wisdom and never hesitated to help those in need. His legacy will continue through the countless lives he touched and the cherished memories he leaves behind.
Henry is survived by his children: Hilario Larry Garcia, Lyana LaBron, Marcella Anderson, Justin Mora and Lucero Garcia, his grandchildren Aiden Sutherland, Zachary Sutherland, Mia Sutherland, Isabella Garcia, Sophia Garcia, Estevan Garcia and Braylon Anderson, as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply. He is preceded in death by his parents Evaristo & Julia Garcia and his siblings, Evaristo Eddie Garcia, Juanita Willis and Andrea Garcia.
A memorial service to celebrate Henry's life will be held on May 19, 2025 at Mission Park North 3401 Cherry Ridge San Antonio, TX 78230. Visitation is at 4:00pm for family, 5:00pm for friends and a Rosary will be held at 6:00pm. There will be a mass May 20, 2025 at 11:00am followed by a funeral procession to Fort Sam Houston. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share in remembering this remarkable man.
