Hilbert Dell Schuster, born on December 12, 1977, in Luling, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in Seguin, Texas. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather.
Throughout his life, Hilbert exemplified the qualities of a hardworking man who provided for his family. He took immense pride in all his life accomplishments and was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. His legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Terri Orr. They shared a fulfilling and joyous 21 years together.
Hilbert’s warmth and love extended to his children, Karina Castello, Avery Schuster, Brittany Nuckols (Jeremiah Zaviyar), Hilbert Schuster Jr., and Autumn Maldonado (Dejohn Brown Sr.), as well as his sisters, Patricia Stewart and Donna Schuster. He took great joy in being an active presence in the lives of his grandchildren, Amberlyn, Benjamin, Jaxson, Mary, Sophia, Charlie, Inaaya, Dejohn Brown Jr., and Avyana Brown.
He enjoyed a variety of simple pleasures, including fishing, floating down the river, and gathering around the campfire to share stories. Hilbert was often found with a cold Bud Light in hand, listening to the music of Johnny Cash, creating enjoyable memories with loved ones.
Hilbert is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Schuster, and his sons, Trystin Schuster and Wesly Maldonado. His memory will continue to live on through the lives he touched with his kindness and love.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin, Texas starting at 10:00 AM. The funeral service will begin at 10:45 AM. Interment will follow at Hall Cemetery in Luling, Texas.
