Mrs. Hilda Faye Gore Johnson, age 87, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 6, 1937, in Tabor City, NC, she was the daughter of the late Alva Dewey Gore and the late Annie Laura Caines Gore. Mrs. Johnson worked as a banker at BB&T until her retirement and was a longtime active member of Loris First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Donnie Johnson; daughter, Sandy Johnson Runion (Danny); granddaughter, Hayley Runion; brother, Clifford Gore; brother-in-law Eldred Johnson (Susan); and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her two brothers, Leonard Gore and Royce Gore.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Loris First Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Phillips and Rev. Dr. Mike Belue officiating. Committal services will follow at Cane Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Hardwick Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be made to Loris First Baptist Church Children & Youth Program, 3117 Main Street, Loris, SC 29569.
