Hilda Joy McBeath, 96 years of age, passed away October 15th, 2025, at her home in The Woodlands, Texas. Her passing was preceded by that of Adrian Dent McBeath in late 2023, her faithful husband. Hilda was born to Coyt Woodem Davidson and Sally Joe Davidson in Union, Mississippi, on October 16th, 1928.

Hilda attended Mississippi College, where she received a bachelor's degree in English, later finishing her master's degree at Mississippi State. She taught in the Kosciusko school system for 29 years, channeling her lifelong love for reading into her library and English courses.

Mrs. McBeath was also a devout Presbyterian. She was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kosciusko, serving in many capacities to support her church. Mrs. McBeath enjoyed her prayer circle, garden club, and supper club of 20 years. She valued warmth and hospitality, ensuring her guests felt welcomed and cared about.

Mrs. McBeath is survived by her loving son, Michael Adrian McBeath—and his family—as well as her sister, Jo Davidson, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Those serving as pallbearers are Randy Russell, Ricky Davis, George Hayes, Hunter Hayes, Scott Davidson, and Jeff Davidson.

Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1st, at Jordan Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. A committal service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, November 1st, at Masonic Cemetery in Newton, Mississippi.
