Mrs. Hilda Frances Priest Parks, age 89, of Ellijay, passed away on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025. Mrs. Parks was born on September 16th, 1935, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to her late parents, Edgar Willson and Elwood Johnson Priest. Mrs. Parks was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay and was also a member of the Eastern Star Lodge #150, and the Shrine Cooetts. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Mr. Morris Miller Parks, and daughter-in-law Lisa Farmer Parks.
Survivors include son Edgar Morris Parks of Ellijay, Daughter Hilda Grace Holcomb and husband Marshall of Free Home, Georgia, grandchildren Emily Grace Holcomb, Kyle Marshall Holcomb, Haley Nicole Davis and husband Thomas, great grandchildren Blakely and Parker Davis.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th, 2025, at 2 P.M., from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Milton Perry officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Floyd Edmondson, Leroy Steinburg, Ralph Cox, Ryan Nealey, Richard Morse, Edgar Land, and Billy Simmons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 13th, 2025, from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M.
Flowers are being accepted, and donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
