With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Hilda S. Sanchez, who left this world peacefully at the age of 78. She was a gentle, loving, and selfless soul whose kindness and warmth touched everyone she met.
Born in Caseta, Mexico, Mom lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She poured her heart into raising her children, always putting others before herself and creating a home filled with comfort, laughter, and love. Her nurturing spirit and wise counsel were a constant source of strength to those around her.
Mom had a quiet grace, a warm smile, and a boundless capacity to give-whether it was a home-cooked meal, ride to get an ice cream, a listening ear, or a shoulder to lean on. Her love was never loud but always felt deeply. She taught us what it meant to love unconditionally, to forgive freely, and to live with purpose.
She is survived by her husband Richard L. Sanchez of 56 years, daughters Angelina Wilson (Todd), Tanya M Trejo (Mario) and Valerie J Sanchez, grand-children Trinity Alaina, Devin Jude, Avery Catherine and Sophia Marie as well as her niece Stefnie D Sepulveda and nephew Nicolas Joaquin Vielma. Four brothers Guadalupe Sepulveda Jr (Linda), Raymundo Sepulveda (Frankie); Saul Sepulveda (Elia); Mario Sepulveda (Valerie). Along with many nieces and nephews she held very close to her heart. She is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe and Aurora Sepulveda and her sister Graciela A Sepulveda. While our hearts ache in her absence, we are grateful for every moment shared and every lesson learned at her side.
A family memorial service will be held on May 31, 2025, at St. Anthonys Catholic Church with a rosary recited at 9:30 am and a funeral mass to follow at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to Mom's heart.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her love will remain forever in our hearts. We will miss her dearly but know she is finally at peace.
