THOMAS, Ms. Hildren "Hila Baby" - age 69, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 in Pontiac, Michigan. Family hour 10:00AM Saturday, September 13, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble 10:00AM at the funeral home Saturday. Ms. Thomas will lie instate in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed 8:00AM until the time of service Saturday. Hildren Thomas, age 69, of Pontiac, Michigan, passed away on September 2, 2025. She was born on July 3, 1956 in Tylertown, Mississippi, to the late father, Dale Thomas, and surviving mother, Lizzell Allen. Hildren grew up in a time of transition and courage. As one of the first set of children to attend integrated schools, she faced challenges with dignity and strength. Her teachers recognized her intelligence and resilience, choosing her among the first to represent this historic change. Despite the pressures and ridicule of those times, Hildren excelled and graduated at the top of her class. She believed in giving her best, valued education deeply, and carried a brilliant mind throughout her life. Hildren was a proud member of the Pontiac Night Riders, a Civic League that supports the community, including seniors and children, through activities and service. She was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, Stanley Mcgee, her sisters, Rose Sellers, and Adela Thomas. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved mother, Lizzell Allen; her children, LaLourus Thomas, Nikkia Thomas, and Ryenesha Briggs; her grandsons, Malik Harsten and Royal Briggs; her sister, Gwen Narcisse, and brother-in-law, Joseph; along with nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Hildren will be remembered as a kind and respectful woman who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed reading, working jigsaw puzzles, watching movies, and playing games. Her thoughtful spirit and quiet strength touched everyone she met. Her legacy is one of perseverance, brilliance, community service, and love.
