Hilton Brooks Obituary
Hilton was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be remembered for his love, strength and perseverance. He leaves his family with many special moments that will be treasured forever.
He leaves behind his children Gerald, Sandra and son-in-law Bruce Cote, David and daughter-in-law Penny, Bryan and daughter-in-law Karen; and his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley of 76 years, on July 21, 2023, his parents William and Clara Brooks, and his brothers Lincoln and William.
A heartfelt thank you to his daughter Sandra and son-in-law Bruce for opening their home to Hilton and Shirley, and providing them with a loving home in which to live out the remaining years of their lives with compassion and dignity.
Our family would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to his caretaker Candy, the hospice team, and the Champlain Valley Preferred Care team of caregivers for providing Hilton with such excellent care.

Hilton and I met during the 1960's when I became Project Manager at the Medical Center and He became Supervisor of the Carpenter Shop. A wide variety of alteration projects came our way. Often Hilton would say "we can do that" and we did. Renovations, alterations and fabrications of new or old equipment. He was a talented craftsman and a good friend for 20 years.
