In loving memory of Hipolito Ramos, Sr.

lived in Pharr, Texas most of his life. He and his family migrated to Idaho doing agricultural work for eight months out of the year embodying the hard working spirit of the migrant community. While in Idaho, he also served as a volunteer forest firefighter; protecting the very land he worked every day. He worked in the fields, picked fruit and drove a truck harvesting potatoes. When in Texas, he worked picking onions and cantaloupe. He decided to relocate his family to Georgia where he worked for many years at Harrison Poultry until his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Aracelia and his 7 children; Otilia Rodriguez (Osbaldo) from Statham, Leticia Rodriguez (+ )from Bethlehem, Criselda Ramos from Bethlehem, Olga Ramos from Statham, Maria Alicia Alvarez (Victor) from Colorado, Victoria Salinas (Victor Hugo) from Athens, Hipolito (Paul) Ramos, Jr. from Statham. He is also survived by six sisters; Maria Medrano, Rosa Falcon, Berta Medrano, Emigdalia Luna, Norma Martinez, Teodora Ramos and two brothers Ricardo Ramos and Antonio Ramos, Jr. Had 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren


Preceding him in death are his parents Antonio and Otilia Ramos, his sister Gloria Saenz and his great-grandson Jayden Jesus Pineda.


Hipolito Ramos leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work and dedication to his family. His memory will continue to inspire and guide his generations to come.

The family will greet friends June 2,2025 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home EAST. Funeral Services will be held June 3, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Lord and Stephens EAST with interment to follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
