Hiram A. Rios,70, widower of Zoriada Cariño Rodriguez, peacefully departed on Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, on January 22, 1954. A true child of the 50's, Hiram embraced the hippie movement with open arms. He wandered through life's journey with an unwavering commitment to love, unity, and the pursuit of happiness. His infectious laughter and hippie soul touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Hiram had a passion for cars and bikes. From vintage classics to sleek modern bikes, he found solace and joy in the roar of an engine and the freedom of the open highway. Whether he was cruising along the coastline with the wind in his hair or jamming to Bob Marley, Hiram's love affair with cars and bikes was a testament to his adventurous spirit and boundless curiosity.
Hiram was a very special person who helped raise 8 step children and watched grow over 30 step grandchildren, 36 step great grandchildren and 5 step great great grandchildren.Including Melisha Diaz Turner and Sharleen Mill Wiggs, who absolutely adored Hiram as more than a grandfather but a father.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Jeannette Carlota Arroyo, with grandchildren Jasmine Carlotta Gambardella and Samantha Carlota Andrews, who reside in Wolcott. Venus Marie Rios, with grandchildren Kaitlynn Marie Rios and Brieanna Marie Rios, who reside in North Haven. Tammy Anderoli, who resides in Norwalk.
Rest in peace, dear Hiram. May the road ahead be lined with fields of endless horizons, where the sun forever shines upon your smiling face.
