SALEM – Mrs. Hirma Toribio 63, of Salem, beloved wife of Hector Moronta, died peacefully, with her family by her side at Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Born in Limon de Villa Gonzalez, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the Juan Isidoro Toribio and Ana Josefa Osoria. She was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States in 1994. First settling in the Bronx, New York, she moved to Salem in 1995 and made it her forever home.

Mrs. Toribio was currently employed at Brooksby Village in Peabody a prep cook in the dining services department. She was beloved by both the residents and other members of the team at Brooksby, during her 20 year association. She enjoyed her job and all of her co-workers were friends.

A longtime resident of the city of Salem, She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem. She enjoyed spending her time cooking, dancing and was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends.

Family came first for Hirma and she would do anything to help them if they were in need. A kind and loving person she gave of herself fully in every way and was respected and beloved by all. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband Hector Moronta, her siblings, Santo Oneida, Lucila, Galletana, Petra, Ageda, Inocencio, Modesto and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at O'Donnell Cremations – Funerals – Celebrations, 84 Washington Square, (At Salem Common) SALEM, Wednesday, September 3rd from 5 to 8 P.M. SALEM – La Sra. Hirma Toribio, de 63 años, residente de Salem y amada esposa de Héctor Moronta, falleció en paz, acompañada de su familia en la Clínica Lahey de Burlington.

Nacida en Limón de Villa González, República Dominicana, era hija de Juan Isidoro Toribio y Ana Josefa Osoria. Se crio y educó en la República Dominicana y emigró a Estados Unidos en 1994. Inicialmente se estableció en el Bronx, Nueva York, y en 1995 se mudó a Salem, donde se estableció definitivamente.

La Sra. Toribio trabajaba actualmente en Brooksby Village, en Peabody, como cocinera en el departamento de servicios de comedor. Durante sus 20 años de servicio, fue muy querida tanto por los residentes como por otros miembros del equipo de Brooksby. Disfrutaba de su trabajo y todos sus compañeros eran amigos.

Residente de la ciudad de Salem desde hacía muchos años, era feligrés de la Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción de Salem. Disfrutaba cocinando y bailando, y era más feliz rodeada de su familia y amigos. Para Hirma, la familia era lo primero y hacía lo que fuera por ayudarlos si lo necesitaban. Era una persona amable y cariñosa, se entregaba por completo en todos los sentidos y era respetada y querida por todos. La extrañaremos profundamente.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo Héctor Moronta, sus hermanos, Santo Oneida, Lucila, Galletana, Petra, Ageda, Inocencio, Modesto y muchas sobrinas, sobrinos y familiares y amigos.
