Hoang Van Nguyen

Hoang Van Nguyen, 79, of East Brunswick New Jersey passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30th, 2023 at 8:48 PM in Robert Wood Johnson hospital.
Hoang started his early life as the owner of a trading company but, like most men of his generation, he was drafted into the war. He faithfully served his country for over nine years fighting for freedom and democracy until he was honorably discharged for a critical limb injury.
Hoang was able to start a new and peaceful life in America with his growing family. He completed his associate of science degree at LaGuardia Community College. He worked for over 25 years for the New York City Fire Department.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mai; oldest son Thong and his wife Sylvia and their children, Zoe and Tobey, of Staten Island; son Tung and his wife Yukiko and their children, Kai and Ken, of East Brunswick; devoted son Truc and his wife Jane and their children, Nolan and Maira, of Barnegat; youngest son Thai and his wife Ly and their children, Charlotte, Vera, Emma, of Trumbull; brother Hoanh of Saigon; sister Lien of Houston; brother Lap of Oklahoma; sister Thanh of Holland; sister Tuyet of Forest Hills; sister Dieu of Danbury.
At the wishes of the deceased, a small and private ceremony will be held for immediate family and friends at Holy Cross Crematory, Jamesburg, New Jersey, on Friday, May 5th from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM for a celebration of Hoang's life. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Aftercare Cremation Service, East Brunswick, New Jersey.
