Hollie Susanne Rice, 55, of Brandon, Florida, passed away on October 1, 2025. Born and raised in Brandon, Hollie was a proud graduate of Brandon High School and later earned her degree from Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. She proudly served her country in the United States Army.
Hollie will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, sharp wit, and generous heart. She had a lifelong love for animals-especially her dogs, parrot, and the horses she adored as a child. Her curiosity about the world led her on many journeys, from fossil hunting and boating to traveling across the globe. A true creative at heart, Hollie found joy in photography, culinary arts, jewelry and soap making, and drawing, each reflecting her ability to find beauty in everyday life.
Some of Hollie's happiest times were spent at her grandparents' cabin in the mountains of North Carolina, a place she cherished deeply. A talented writer and storyteller, Hollie had a gift for making others laugh and feel loved. Her creativity, compassion, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Above all, she treasured her family. She is survived by her loving parents, Sue and Tom Rice; her adored brothers and sisters-in-law, Bo and Heather Rice and Jay and Kara Rice; her cherished nephew, Bodie; and her darling nieces, Molly and Olivia, along with many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Hollie's sweet spirit touched everyone she met, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her most, as well as in the countless stories, laughter, and love she shared throughout her life.
