Hollis Earl Boyd, 92, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 15, 1932 to the late Theodore Boyd and the late Velma Irene Cross Boyd. He enjoyed preaching, singing, playing guitar, and spending time with family and friends. Hollis really enjoyed making people laugh.
Memorial service will be 4:00 pm on Tuesday October 1, 2024, at Senter Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Frankie Miller and Bro. Lowell Sartin officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 Tuesday at Senter Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Halltown Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Boyd of Hackleburg, AL; son, Gary (Laurie) Boyd of Haleyville, AL, Stanley (Earline) Barnes, Anthony (Sandy) Barnes; daughters: Debbie (Frank) Wright, Pam (Mitch) Kennedy; grandchildren: Michelle (James) Brooks, Angie (Scott) Tucker, Malissa (Steven) Moore, Jonathan Grace, Grant (Darah) Boyd, Devin (Jen) Barnes, Jeremy (Courtney) Kennedy, Kayla (Kyle) Robbins, Matt (Kayla) Barnes, Megan (Jake) Cagle; 27 great grandchildren, 14 great, great grandchildren; brother, T.H. Boyd; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shirley Grace; infant son, Timothy Steven Boyd; sister, Lovie Rouse; brothers: Thomas Boyd, Larry Boyd, Stanley Boyd, Herman Boyd, Arthur Boyd; sister, Wanda Scott
