Hollis Roland Hockmeyer

Hollis Roland Hockmeyer, 87, of Fulton, passed away on January 28, 2026, at Boone Hospital Center, surrounded by his loved ones.

Hollis was born on June 13, 1938, in Reform, Missouri, to the late Halbert Hockmeyer and Myrtle (Nunnelly) Hockmeyer.

Throughout his life, Hollis was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to take on many roles. He held a variety of jobs over the years, including working at Gasper's Restaurant, a shoe factory, a wrecker service, as an over-the-road truck driver, a school bus driver, and as a gas station attendant. No matter the position, Hollis took pride in his work and the people he served.

In his free time, Hollis enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved meeting friends for coffee at McDonald's and Wendy's, watching dirt track racing and NASCAR, and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks Racetrack. A true motorcycle enthusiast, Hollis owned and deeply loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, which brought him great joy.

Hollis was a faithful member of Rising Sun Baptist Church and valued his church family greatly.

He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of motorcycles and racing, and the time he cherished with family and friends.
