Jarod Atterberry

Jarod Atterberry, 31, of Fulton, passed away surrounded by love on February 25, 2026, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Jarod was born on June 30, 1994, in Columbia, Missouri, to Aaron Atterberry and Angela Browning.

From a young age, Jarod had a deep love for sports that followed him throughout his life. He was a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Chargers and rarely missed a game.

He enjoyed playing basketball, spending hours fishing, playing cards with friends and family, and collecting sports cards. Above all else, Jarod treasured time with his family. His greatest joy was being a father to his daughter, Addy. Making memories with her, sharing laughter, and simply being together were the moments he valued most. She was the light of his life.

Jarod will be remembered for his love of family, his loyalty to his team, his competitive spirit, and the genuine joy he found in life's simple pleasures.

Jarod's memory will continue to be cherished by his daughter, Addalynn Atterberry; mother, Angela Browning; father; Aaron Atterberry (Sarah); brother; Shawn Browning; sister, Jordan Atterberry; girlfriend, Paula Martinez, paternal grandmother, Patty Atterberry; nephews, Benson Browning, Beau Browning, Elliot Atterberry; best friends, Mason Twitchell and Jess Murrell, along with numerous other family members and special mention, Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Paul Atterberry; maternal grandparents, Eddie "Pete" and Linda Browning, paternal great grandmother, Geraldine Williams, maternal great grandparents, Charles and Betty Browning, and maternal great great grandparents, Mary Johnson and Hadley Fox.

Funeral Services will be held at Maupin Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 11:00 am with Pastor Travis Boyt officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
