It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Hom Keopraseut, who left us on January 4, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on May 5, 1945, Hom lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, and an unwavering love for those around her. She was a remarkable woman whose presence was a source of joy and comfort to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Hom had a gift for making people smile; her radiant personality could brighten even the cloudiest of days. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was nurturing her beloved garden or discovering hidden treasures in her antique collection. Each bloom and each vintage piece held a special place in her heart, reflecting her appreciation for beauty in all its forms.
Above all, Hom was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her proudest accomplishments were watching her children and grandchildren grow and carve their paths in life. Their successes brought her immense joy, and she relished every moment spent together, fostering a legacy of love and encouragement that will resonate through generations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sinxay Keopraseut.
Hom leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Kei Keopraseut; Deth Keopraseut, Pon Keopraseut and Syho Keopraseut; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.
Hom's warm spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on January 18, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, starting at noon.
