John A. "Butch" Hart, age 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026. Butch was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He deeply cherished his family and held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a classic car enthusiast and had a passion for horses. Known as a protector, provider, and steadfast supporter, Butch’s warmth and strength touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born on December 1, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, to John and Betty (Lindsey) Hart, Butch's life was rooted in the community he loved. He was a proud member of the Knights Athletic Club, an avid car enthusiast, and had a great passion for horses. Butch also adored his beloved dogs, Bazel and Jake, who were constant companions and brought him much joy.
He is preceded in death by his father, John J. Hart; mother, Betty Lee Eversole; son, Larry Hart; grandsons, Ronny Kininmonth, Jr. and Billy Parkinson; brothers, Danny Eversole, Kenneth Eversole; and his beloved dog, Blue.
Butch is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 36 years, Becky Hart; daughters Bridgett (Johnny) Peak and Margie (Troy) Walden; son Jimmy Wilson, Jr.; grandchildren Tessa (Cory) Nelson, Jeremy Peak, Johnny (Sam) Peak, III, Justice (Jordon) Peak, Justin Walden, Brandon (Ashton) Walden, Jimmy Wilson, III, Leaha Wilson, Kevin Fultz, and Shayna (Mike) Fultz; sisters Denise Farris, Debbie (Joe) Fritsch, and Rhonda Chaddic; brothers Robert (Lena) Hart, Eddie (Monica) Hart, and Kevin (Jana) Hart; special nephew Joey (Sydney) Fritsch; his cherished dogs, Bazel and Jake; and a wide circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever hold his memory dear.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of Butch’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
