Homer Clifton Moore

WALNUT COVE - Homer Clifton Moore of Walnut Cove passed away on February 12, 2026, in his home with family by his side.

Homer was born in Stokes County on June 17, 1936, to Robie Earl and Nell Stevens Moore. Homer was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was 89 years old and so proud to be approaching his 90th birthday. Homer was honored to be a Navy veteran and always appreciated folks thanking him for his service. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and a retiree of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company.

In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond Moore, William (Bill) Moore, Robert (Bobby) Moore and Jerry Moore; and his beloved son, Jonathan.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Easley Moore; sons, Tracy and Mark (Missy); grandchildren, Sarah Beth (Jackson), Tanner (Lynley), Hollie and Logan; sister, Julia Beck (Garney).

There will be a 2 p.m. graveside service for family and friends at Leak Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, with Rev. Pat Dickson officiating.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Homer's caregivers Laura Yee-Daily, Joey Smith, Loretta Cooper and the Trellis Supportive Care team of Walnut Cove.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to be made to Trellis Supportive Care: 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103 or St. Mark United Methodist Church c/o Sarah Stephens: 9930 Baux Mountain Road, Germanton, NC 27019.
