Honey null Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Romero Funeral Home on Feb. 18, 2026.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Donna "Honey" LaJeunesse, 65, left this temporary home to be with our Father, God Almighty, on February 4, 2026.

Donna was born on April 9, 1960, in Mountainair, New Mexico, to Diego and Estefanita LaJeunesse. She was the youngest of seven and went on to create a beautiful family of her own. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Jarrah (Anthony), Jeremy, Jasmine, Julie, and Jade (Manuel).

Being a grandmother was a great joy for Donna, and her grandchildren include Christopher, Jacob, and Sharaya Medina; Serenity, Jerin, Jaelynne, and Jenesa LaJeunesse; Josiah and Gabriel Padilla; Knoa Romero; and Gianna and Mateo Otero. She was also blessed to spend precious time with her great-grandchild, Ameliana Padilla.

Donna's fondest moments were those spent surrounded by her family. She never sought attention or praise, but her quiet pride was unmistakable whenever her family gathered together.

She devoted her life to nurturing those she loved and did everything she could to help her children and grandchildren succeed. She prayed constantly and faithfully. She expressed her love in countless ways-through planting gardens, thrift shopping for her grandchildren, searching for fabric, sharing beautiful music and meaningful books, and, in more recent years, sharing life hacks she discovered. If anyone needed help, she was the first to be there, without hesitation. She answered every call.

Donna was also a cherished friend. She was a safe place for many, someone who walked to the beat of her own drum. She was witty, honest, and genuine, with no pretense. Above all, she lived selflessly and strived to love others as God loves.

Donna will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.

Please join us in honoring our dear Honey. Her service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God in Mountainair, New Mexico. A reception will follow at the Dr. Saul Community Center.
