Horace Milton Dugger, age 89, a resident of Oakland, Tennessee, passed away on December 20, 2025.
Mr. Dugger was born in Pulaski, Tennessee to the late Felix Owen Dugger and Virginia Heathcott Dugger. He was a high school graduate and proudly served his country as an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Following his military service, Mr. Dugger dedicated over 40 years to the trucking industry, traveling more than one million miles accident-free, a testament to his skill, discipline, and work ethic. After retirement, he continued working as a self-employed landscaper, never one to slow down. Known affectionately by many as the “Blue Eyed Hillbilly,” he was a man who deeply loved his family and took pride in providing for them.
Mr. Dugger was a faithful member of the Cordova Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jan Dugger; one sister, Sharon Dugger; and one brother, Odell Dugger.
He is survived by his daughter, Melanie (Joe) Crowell; two grandchildren, Adam Crowell and Grace Crowell; and one sister, Faye Gambill.
Services for Mr. Dugger will be held at 11 Monday morning, December 29, 2025, at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland, with interment following in the Robertson Cemetery in Bells, Tennessee.
Visitation will be from 10-11 Monday morning at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.
