On November 18, 1956, in Sherman, Texas, LaGrant and Bessie Mills welcomed the arrival of their beautiful son whom they named Horace LaVine Mills who we later named "Bubba".
Horace loved the lord and attended Harmony Baptist Church at an early age, and as an adult he attended Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman, TX. He didn't have many hobbies, but he loved sports and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.
He was a kindhearted and caring individual to everyone he met, and he never met a stranger. If you needed it and he had it, it was yours. Horace was always helping others even when he was sick; but that wouldn't stop him from helping you if you needed his help.
Horace had the biggest heart, and he was loved by so many. He will truly be missed by all.
Early on Wednesday morning, September 20, 2023, Horace peacefully returned to the lord. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. LaGrant Mills and Mrs. Bessie Mills, and sister Elizabeth Mills.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his son Bryan Minafee from Dallas, TX, goddaughter Tamesha Minafee of Atlanta, grandchildren; Sadie Minafee, Bailey Minafee, Kylim Minafee, Tyna Minafee, sisters Jean Mills of Plano, TX, Joy Mills of McKinney, TX, Virginia Hill of Denison, TX, and niece Markista Hills, and a host of great nieces and nephews, and relatives and friends.
