Howard Bellin

Howard Bellin, born on March 10, 1941, in Trenton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on December 8, 2024. A compassionate soul, Howard was the embodiment of dedication and love, always ensuring that his laughter and joy enveloped those around him.
Howard was a man of impressive achievements and intellect. His journey from being a class valedictorian at Trenton Central High School to graduating from the prestigious University of Wisconsin, Madison, and Kansas City University: Osteopathic Medical School were testament to his dedication and hard work. After graduating in 1969, he served as a long-time family physician at Whitehall Medical Center, and following a brief retirement, he returned to his beloved profession at Heart of Ohio Family Medicine. Howard was more than just a physician; he was a friend, a confidant, a source of comfort for his patients who he treated as family. His funny nature and loving spirit made him more than a doctor; he was a healer of hearts. He was an avid collector and a loyal Badger fan, except when they played against Ohio State, where he showcased his witty neutrality.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, David and Sylvia Bellin. Howard is survived by his loving wife, Gayle Bellin; daughters, Angela Bellin and Tiffany (Blane) Andrade; grandchildren, Brandon, Ian, and Mackenzie; great-grandchildren, Teeghan, Ivy, Axl, and Oliver; sister, Nannette Bellin Bieber; niece, Nicole and her children, Caden and Brody.
His family and friends will gather to celebrate his remarkable life on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 1:30pm EST at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Shiva from 5:30-7:00pm, Wednesday, December 11 at Temple Israel, 3100 E Broad Street, Columbus.
