I was very saddened to her of Howie's passing. We worked together at Otis for many years. He was at the very top of his profession. He was a friend and mentor to many. Howie had great technical expertise along with the executive thinking that made him such a complete employee.
But Howie was also a master salesman. He was able to convince me and many others to come into Otis management. That included taking a massive pay cut and working endless hours. I say this in Jest of course. He was just that good to work for.
I know Howie was a dedicated family man. They were fortunate to have such a fine man in their lives.

Jan, you are in our prayers. I still make Howie's bread and sausage recipes. I know he will be terribly missed.

I played many a round of golf with Howie when he and Jan lived in Hernando, Florida. We always had a lot of fun. I also enjoyed Howie´s meals often accompanied with his great bread. I believe that Howie is now with our Lord. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful Rest In Peace.

Grampy,
We miss you SO MUCH!! But you have left us with SO SO many incredible memories!!! And have been such a great role model! Though NONE of us will EVER be able to bake bread, or make sausage like you did!! Grayson has taken up on many of your culinary skills, and Cam is not too bad either!! They UNDOUBTEDLY have inherited the Beressi cooking genes!! KNOW you are proud of them!!
The Alaska trip was SO WONDERFUL!! Cam was 10 months old, so doesn't remember, but Gray does!!! It was one of MANY wonderful memories that we have!! You have always dedicated your life to your family!! And I think it pays out in the truly wonderful children and grandchildren that you have!! I know they all LOVE you and Jan SO SO MUCH!!
We will ALWAYS miss you and NEVER forget you!!
Thanks SO MUCH!! for being an AMAZING GRAMPY!!!
