On February 2nd, 2025, Howard Brunson Boatwright, Junior "Bo" passed away at the age of 74 years.
Bo was born on July 4th, 1950, in Mullins, South Carolina, to the late Howard Brunson Boatwright, Senior, and Ann Fore Boatwright. After graduating from Marion High School, he obtained an Associates degree in business from Florence Darlington Technical College. He retired from West Rock in Florence after forty-two years of service.
On July 12th, 1975, he married Anna Lane. They would have celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary this year.
Bo is survived by his wife Anna of Marion, daughter Tyson Boatwright (David Able) of Columbia; daughter Ryan McCormick (Jim) of Mullins; his only granddaughter Campbell; nephew Kyle Craven (Lacey) of Richmond Hill, Georgia; and special canine companion Honey Bee.
In addition to his parents, Bo was predeceased by his sister Kay Boatwright Craven.
Bo served in the National Guard and was a member and Past Master of the Clinton Masonic Lodge. An honest man with strong moral principles, he was quiet and introspective, but also possessed a wonderful sense of humor. He loved being able to repair, and rebuild a variety of things, but it had to be on his own time and never seemed to be in much of a hurry. His computers brought him endless hours of enjoyment, but he never missed the opportunity to take a break for a nap. Even though he did not have a church home, he lived his faith daily.
A memorial celebration will be held Wednesday, February 19th located at Hidden Acres, 6701 Ella Grace Court, Marion, beginning at 5:30pm.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice, but most importantly, if you wish to honor Bo's memory, please be a kind person.

Bo was my first cousin on my father´s side of family. Every summer the families would gather for a week in Myrtle Beach and stay in a big house together. Bo was the "cool" older cousin who always had time for his younger cousins - telling stories with that southern drawl, playing pranks or just being present. We all loved him and when he married Anna we thought she was the most beautiful woman ever! He was a good man with a kind heart. I´m sure God said to him on Sunday "well done, Bo, come on in".
Love to Anna, Tyson, Ryan and families.
