Howard J. Bookbinder, 83, of Glen Rock, NJ, passed away on June 5, 2022 of natural causes. Howard was born on February 23, 1939 to Philip and Betty Bookbinder in The Bronx, NY. After Howard graduated from James Monroe High School in 1956, he went on to study accounting at Pace College and earn his CPA. Howard has run a very prominent accounting firm in New Jersey for over 40 years. In 1962 Howard wed his wife of almost 60 years, Beverly and went on to have 3 children, David, Glenn and Melisa.
Howard had a huge passion for his work, but also enjoyed fishing, travel and volunteering with many organizations and clubs. He was an active member of several Masonic Lodges at the time of his passing. Howard was predeceased by his daughter, Melisa in 1991 and his wife Beverly earlier this year. He is survived by his sons David and Glenn, and his brother Michael.
Services will be held at Cedar Park Cemetery on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 at 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Glen Rock Jewish Center in Glen Rock, NJ in his memory.

I've been a colleague and friend of Howie for many years and never knew he graduated from James Monroe High School. My dad graduated from there and told me he never met a fellow graduate he didn't like. No wonder I liked Howie so much. Thanks for everything you've done for me Howie...rest in peace.

I have known Howard since 1977 when hired into the accounting profession. It was thrill to work with him throughout the years within the profession as he enthusiastically and competently advocated for the various issues we faced in the past 4 decades. His humor was unmatched! May he R.I.P.
