Howard "Ed" Cagle, born on October 28, 1944, passed away on January 9, 2026. He is remembered by his family and friends for his kindness and strength.
A funeral service will be held on January 16, 2026, at Wilson Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Carbon Hill, Alabama. The service will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Taylor (Danny); son, Billy Cagle; step-daughter, Peggy McGraw (Bobby); and his grandchildren: Mason Bush, Lexie Bush Whitten (Chase), Nicholas Cagle, Dustin McGraw, Zack McGraw, Krystal Key, Tabitha Smith, and April Smith. Howard was also a proud grandfather to 13 great-grandchildren.
Howard is also survived by his brothers: Dwight Cagle, Don Cagle (Betty), Ken Cagle, and Carl Cagle (Leslie). He also leaves behind his brother, David Cagle (Lavita).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lennie Cagle; his wife, Jimmie Carol Cagle; his sister, Diane Chamblee; his brother, Terry Cagle; his sister-in-law, Joan Cagle; his son, Chris Cagle; and his grandson, Dakota Cagle.
Howard "Ed" Cagle will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
