Howard Dwayne Burnett, 57, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 in Fort Worth. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:00 am in Highridge Church in Graham, Texas. Burial will follow at a Family Cemetery in May, Texas.
Dwayne was born April 22, 1968 in Mineral Wells. He was born to Katherine Joetta Burnett then adopted by Howard McQuade Burnett after his mothers passing. Dwayne was employed at Skidmore’s Graham Auto Rebuilders as a painter.
From chasing women almost as crazy as him to knock-down-drag-outs, dirt bikes, Harleys, hot-rods, and bull-riding Dwayne lived life to the absolute fullest. He lived a rough, wild life and did not try to hide it whatsoever. But in his later years, Dwayne was a very godly man, there was not a Sunday that he missed church. Loved going to rodeos with his son Brodi Burnett and other close friends and family. Dwayne would do anything for someone he loved. He put his heart and soul into everyone and everything he touched and spoke to. Dwayne was more than a peoples person he could light up any room and brighten anyones mood no matter the circumstance.
Survivors include: son, Brodi Burnett of Abilene; sister, Charlene Ann Carnley of Cisco; niece, Misty Murphree and husband, Scott of Rising Star; great nephew, Jakob Ryan Carnley of Cisco; great niece, Brianna Jaynes of Cisco; cousins, Terry and Holly Burnett of Horseshoe Bay.
He was preceded in death by brother, Freddy Burnett.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
700 Oak St, Graham, TX 76450
