Joseph Benjamin Burnett, 91, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, widower of Carol T. Burnett who passed away on August 1, 2022, passed away on September 29, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center. He was born June 24, 1934, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Clarence and Lois Burnett.
Joseph was retired from Spartanburg Steel where he had been a welding supervisor. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Phillip Darrell Burnett of Spartanburg, his daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Burnett of Spartanburg, granddaughters, Morgan Burnett of Spartanburg and Heather Poston (Jerry) of Florence, SC, three great grandchildren, Haley Caitlin and Landon.
The family will have a private graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, where he will be laid to rest beside his wife.
All arrangements are entrusted into the care and under the direction of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary and Crematory, 864-461-7788.
