Jean B. Long
Jean Bell Long, 90, widow of Rev. Allen Eugene Long passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born September 9, 1935, in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Bruce Bell and Frances Ophelia Rice Bell. She was a retired School Teacher having served many schools throughout the state and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Terri Long, David Long, Joy (Mark) Hargreaves and Suzanne Mauldin; sister, Doris Glenn; brother, Jim Bell; three grandchildren, Steven Mauldin, Teri (Rangel) Antonio and Ashton (Danny) Milleman; six great-grandchildren, Tristen Mauldin, Olivia Bravo Antonio, Isabela Antonio, Wesley Antonio, Jordyn Antonio and Ava Milleman.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Marie Freeman; brothers, Billy Bell and Carl Bell.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Frank Lybrand and Rev. Megan Gray officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
Family members are at their respective homes.
