Howard Frost Obituary
Born September 22, 1934, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Howard A. and Clara (Kitzmiller) Frost. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Ann (Shanholtz) Frost.
Ed was a 1952 graduate of Fort Hill High School. He worked at Southern States in Cumberland for 40+ years where he was a jack-of-all-trades.
Ed enjoyed bus trips to the casino and traveling. He loved to watch game shows and play solitaire. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
Ed is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Shearer (Greg), and Eddie Frost; four grandchildren, Jacob (Ashley), Jeannine (Dylan), Jason (Destiny), and Clara; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Noah, and Rohan; brother, Gary Frost (Bonnie); special caregiver, Kelley Frost; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as extended family.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
The family would like to thank UPMC – WM Hospice for their care and compassion given to Ed.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, MD 21502, to defray funeral costs.
