Howard Dale Halterman, 50, of Staunton passed away Wednesday night, May 2, 1990 at his home.
He was born August 29, 1939 in Monterey, a son of Howard L. and Marie (White) Halterman of Monterey.
He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and had served in the U.S. Army. He was owner and operator of the H.D. Halterman Plumbing and Heating in Staunton.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Kay Halterman of Staunton; daughter, Tammie Forbes of Staunton; stepsons, Earl A. Fitzgerald and Klaus Dieter Furtmeier, both of Stauton; brothers, William E. Halterman of Staunton and Wayne Halterman of Monterey; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann, Heather Dawn and William Forbes Jr..
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell by Rev. Jerry Ginn. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Delmas Smith, David Johnston, Homer Stinespring, R.L. Runion, Bobby and Tommy Campbell, William Hinkle and Eddie Simmons.
Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
