Howard was so accepting and loving from the first day I met him. He always had that amazing smile and a big hug for all of us. I loved his humor and how he could be so silly with the kids. He never made anyone feel like a stranger or unaccepted and that is a rare quality. He will forever be in my heart as my other dad and will never be forgotten. If I live to do half the good in my life that he did I will feel like a success. I know you are in heaven watching over us and we will miss you so much!!! Leslie Lang-(Pflugerville, Tx.)

Candace, Paul & family - I know you miss him terribly, but oh the joy of being in heaven with our Lord and those that have gone before him. You'll see him again. I hope you find comfort in those words and I pray that as each day passes the wonderful memories overshadow the sorrow you feel today.

Dad gave me the freedom to make my own decisions and learn from my mistakes. He was happy to offer guidance if asked and overjoyed to teach when called upon. He had gentle patience and never showed frustration no matter how long it took to successfully instruct on the subject. He was most passionate about leading others to Christ. His confidence and faith in the word of God allowed him a complete calm in moments of adversity.

I think my dad would like us to remember that he had a good run, and that he always tried to give back a little more than he took. Dad was always interested in new ideas and new challenges, which led him down several entrepreneurial paths, but he never pursued a challenge that would take him away from the path toward God.

He was my business partner, my friend and my Dad. I love you Dad and will miss you,

Scooter-

God bless the Lang's in their loss. Howard was my dear friend, pastor, confidant, mentor, and yes, sometimes cheerleader. As a pastor, he served his flock with love, acceptance, and character. If you needed something, he was there.

When I made a career change from teaching to real estate, Howard was my first and only broker. He taught me the basics of the business and more importantly that, honesty, integrity, and fairness were always the cornerstones of our day to day activities. I would not be where I'm today without Howard.

Howard was a man of many talents. He taught me how to do electrical work and not get shocked!

Something most people don't know about Howard. We spent many days together doing volunteer electrical work for the homeless mission of Austin. And there were other way he served the community. Howard would do funeral services for the indigent. He served the lord every day.

There is no way I can truly express my deepest love and respect for my dear friend Howard. For Delores it is to know he now is at peace with our savior and he no longer suffers.

Myself, Virginia Caudle, Bill and Bettye Nelson, Howard and Carl Nelson, Carlos Garcia, Paul Tannous, Charlie Blackburn, Margaret Christlip and Lois Gainer all offer our condolences for the loss of our friend and pastor.

He is at peace.

Bro Lang was my paster at Hutto Baptist Church. He was a kind and gentle person, always had a kind word to say. Sorry, to hear of his passing. Mrs. Lang was always by his side. Wonderful people!! RIP Mr. Lang.

Brother Lang was a true Pastor. He loved and cared about people. When my dad was so sick back in 1990, Brother Lang was there. He preached his funeral to which I am forever greatful. Sorry we can't be there to celebrate his life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Love, James & Rhonda Reeves.

God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
And whispered "Come to me".

With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts
to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

Dad, The wonderful memories of you will always remain in my heart. From the first day Howard brought me over to your home to meet you and mom, you welcomed me with open arms, a strong embrace and warm kiss. I knew from that moment I was part of your family. Over the years, all the trips we would take together, the family gatherings, holiday celebrations, the birth of grandchildren and great grandchildren and new additions to our family, with each occasion it brought joy to our hearts. I love you so very much and miss you dearly, With all my love, Your daughter always, Janie
