We are so sorry about the loss of Howie. He was a great buddy to my husband Carmen. They enjoyed many fishing adventures together. We loved his passion for life. He was so quick witted and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will truly be missed. Our deepest sympathy to Tricia and the family. Carmen and Anita Marottolo

I was heartbroken to hear of Howie's passing. I worked with Howie for 13+ years at the CMS shop in Berlin (CL&P) and we were also on the Special Olympics committee. Howie always had a smile on his face and he was always willing to help. He will be missed by so many people. I am keeping Trish and family in my prayers at this sad time. RIP my friend, you'll never be forgotten .

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear of his passing! Howie was one of the reasons that I really enjoyed the pre-game at the QU hockey games. He made it feel like a Local 90 reunion every time were there. I also am sorely going to miss his "Grandpa Howie's relish" .
A real classy man who made everyone around him laugh and smile!

This is a tremendous loss for everyone lucky enough to have known Howie. I am proof that his family was not confined to blood relatives. "Uncle Howie" is present in so many of my childhood memories that for a long time I genuinely thought we were related. My love and thoughts are with everyone mourning the loss of a man whose presence was truly larger than life.
